Fishing still Slow but Night Bite is Hot! October 28 to Nov 3, 2014

The Fishing has improved but still remains slow.  The Anglers that stayed with us found success fishing the perimeter of deep holes and drop offs in the Narrows and Northern Part of Long Reach.   The same anglers worked all the way down to Adolphus Reach but found that the fish in the deeper water were suspended at 50 feet and not interested in any baits.

Nick Werner Reports:

"…Trophy Walleye Fishing has remained slow for another week. The moon phase is building into a full moon this week and subsequently the walleye are feeding heavily at nite.  There are fish to be caught during the day and I expect to see BIG fish activity to start to pick up by next week through the rest of the season.

Jigging small slab spoons and blade baits has been productive for smaller fish of all species. Jigging adjacent to deep holes along both the Sherman's and Thompsons point area are working. Deep water holes in the Big Bay and Deseronto Bridge area hold fish throughout the day. They aren't whoppers but they can be caught. Don't forget to drop a jig and minnow if you are in the Telegraph Narrows... It's a pinch point that's a must try.

Looking forward to a busy few charter weeks. I still have some dates available if you are looking for the Trophy of a Lifetime give County Shores a call and let's check off your "bucket list"!...”

This week saw the Bay Water levels drop yet again (if that is even possible)!  Our Rental boats have now been put away for the season.  The Bait and Tackle store remains open with both minnows and worms in stock along with the popular fall tackle.  The Campground will also remain open until freeze-up with Electric Only sites.

Good Luck and Tight Lines!
